My best pals celebrated Cynthia’s Birthday just last week on the 18th of Sept! She is a fanatic for Sponge Bob! So we searched high and low and managed to get her the SpongeBob Snow Globe!!!
She was really happy to see that even Sponge Bob has a snow globe cos I bought sort of a globe for her while I was in Bangkok early this year.. Sponge Bob was supposed to be singing in the plastic globe.. However it stopped a long time ago! Haha! So she was really happy to see that this even plays the theme song as long as she winds it up!

25th Anniversary Gift

Hello everyone!!
Thought I would just share a new globe that I got for my parents who celebrated their 26th Wedding Anniversary yesterday! My mummy wanted a 25th anniversary figurine from Precious Moments last year but I was unable to get it from the local stores! So this year, I searched extensively for this 25th Wedding Anniversary snow globe! She was really happy to receive it! Watching her tilt the mini globe upside down and shaking it to see the glitters come down on the globe made my day! : )

Hi ya!
Its been an amazing week for me, just came back from a Church conference in Kuala Lumpur; Passion 2008! A fantastic conference! You guys can visit it at www.268generation.com for more information; totally changed my life!
We took a road trip to KL that included shopping of course!!! So how can I resist not scouting around for any special globes that I have not seen in Singapore! Here is a globe I found in KL, Sunway Lagoon’s Mega Mall!
Its a Russ Bear Collection that plays Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, and its floaters are stars! Really sweet! And its made of ceramic! So it has a really nice water color finish to the globe!

I received a gift from our Hong Kong Partners: A Cinderella Snow Globe! Its not the Disney Cinderella Snow Globe but a more classical version of Cinderella! Love the pink stripes at the bottom, this is a huge snow globe, a 150mm piece!

It was a wonderful trip to Hong Kong Disneyland despite the scorching sun that made Nicole and myself red like apples! Our sourcing trip was found fruitful: we found the Tinkerbell Perfume Bottle Mini Globe!!!! We have been sourcing for that for many months and we have finally found it! I think to myself, perhaps I should make a trip down again nearer to Christmas, perhaps more selection will come up! Here are some of the photos we took in HK Disney! Dear Friends of A World Within,
We hope you had a fantastic Mothers’ Day! We are busy preparing for our next booth, this time its at the Grand Hyatt Hotel’s “The Fair”! Details will be up soon, so do visit us for latest products and promotions! While we were doing that, I have not stopped looking for my favorite snow globes to add into my own personal collection, so here is the little story that I would love to share!
I once went into one of the Precious Thots retail outlets @ Raffles City and saw on display this really colorful and meaningful Precious Moments Figurine! I was really attracted by the color, it was a boy getting some gum balls from a gum ball machine! And the words wrote: Count your many blessings! Sadly, it was not for sale, have been searching for it but to no avail!
But I guess its always a blessing, I found the Snow globe version in the States! Its really a lovely piece, and its A World Within’s mailing list display globe now!
I read through my “The official Precious Moments Collector’s Guide to Figurines Second Edition” by John & Malinda Bomm and here is the story:
“Sam (Butcher) designed this figurine for a collector named Penny who lived in Canada. She gave Sam Canadian pennies and bugged him for years to make a figurine of her. At the 2000 Collector’s Christmas Weekend she was asked to come on stage. As she was helping Sam she picked up a cloth and found her figurine, Count your many blessings.”

This Mother’s Day, we at A World Within did not want to be all commercial about it and launch just a great sale. We decided to share why we chose this character for Mother’s Day:
This Mothers’ Day, our special is on Snow White. She is like a mother in all ways, from her sacrifices, her hard work in the Seven Dwarfs cottage, just like taking care of 7 little children.
Why Snow White?
Jewel’s mum’s favorite Disney character is Snow White. She once searched everywhere for a Special Edition Laser Disc Box Set of Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs just so that their family can watch it together. She pieced together a 5,000 pieces or more jigsaw puzzle of a huge movie poster of Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs to hang it up somewhere in the house. Perhaps that’s where Jewel got her genes of “loving Disney” from..

Her mum is always sacrificing, always forgiving and always there for her no matter what happens. She supports her, and never stops her from pursuing her dreams. This is the love that she has for her. We believe that mothers are God’s gift to us, children. For they reflect, patience, and love.

This was posted by Capeless Superman one of our friends on our Multiply Account! It significantly reminds us of the “Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant” in our Disneyland Paris Snow Globe! This is a really beautiful Giant Snow Globe in Disneyland California! See the Resemblance!
We found out a little history about it in Wiki, we hope you enjoy it as much as we do, so here it is:
Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant (“the Castle of Sleeping Beauty”) is a structure that stands at the centre of the Disneyland Park at Disneyland Resort Paris and is a continuation of a concept first seen at Disneyland in California.

A World Within presents to you the first collection; Our Love Story.
A story within each snow globe, as I looked into the glass ball of the Victorian Carousel, and placed my hand on the cold and elegant glass, it feels as if I entered into another world. A world of dreams and imaginations, a world where I become a Princess. As the music plays and the horses move, I felt enchanted by the music, the romance and love and history behind every era.
And as I sit out here, watching the raindrops fall and the faint music in the background. It’s a pleasure and a dream came true to be able to bring these “wishes” and “dreams” into one’s life.
May each snow globe that you bring home, be a wish for something higher, be a wish for someone close to you, and most of all may it be a dream come true.

Hello Friends of AWW! I trust everyone had a wonderful Valentine’s Day! A World Within just ended our store @ SMU! So a big welcome to all SMU students and staff who patronized our booth this weekend! : )
Also heard from one of our Friends of AWW that she is getting married this year and she will be using the snow globes her husband-to-be bought from A World Within in her wedding photos! So we are very excited! Will load those photos up as soon as she shares the photos with us.
Other than spending my Valentine’s Day with A World Within, wanted to share my V day gift in my personal collection this year! This is my V Day 2008 snow globe, the Precious Moments Boy and Girl moves up and down on the see-saw!

Hello!!! Happy Valentine’s Day to you! Heard a beautiful story from one of our friends at A World Within that bought the Beauty & the Beast lighted rose snow globe yesterday!
His girlfriend had been searching for years for a Beast figurine to complement a Princess Belle figurine she bought many years back but was unable to find any.
This year, he saw our snow globe with the Beauty & the Beast figurines, he purchased them as a surprise for her! : ) He said that when the rose lit up, and the music played, her tears fell.. As it meant a lot to her, being able to find her prized collection as well as to know how much she meant to him.. For him to remember what she was looking for all these years..
I am truly touched by this, and happy that our snow globes can bring such joy to our friends! Even more inspired to bring in rare and memorable collectibles..
